Investigation Conditions

Average Temperature Inside: 63° F
Average Humidity Inside: 45%
Weather Outside: At 6:00pm EST, clear with a temperature of 23° F, humidity is at 18%, winds are at 9 mph.
*Solar X-Ray: Normal
*Geomagnetic Field: Quiet
**Moon Phase: Waxing gibbous with 97% of the moons visible disk illuminated.

*Solar X-Ray and Geomagnetic Field activities seem to affect the amount of paranormal activity. Researchers have found that during periods of heightened solar x-ray activity and geomagnetic activity in space, paranormal activity increases.
**Research has shown that the magnetic fields are the strongest on the days around the full and new moon cycles. Spirit activity is found to be more prominent during these times.

Investigation Duration
January 09, 2009: Start pm EST - End pm EST

Equipment Used
Multiple digital audio recorders and cameras. Astek IR cameras, K II EMF meter, Lutron EMF-822A, IR audible motion sensor, multiple thermometers from ambient to non-contact, weather monitor station located throughout the home.

Investigation Report
The investigation began with the IR cameras being place in the following locations: second floor Master Bedroom – capturing the bed and the video cabinet, Kitchen counter – shooting the living room, living stairwell – capturing into the dinning room and the curio cabinet, lower level laundry room focusing on the area of writing by the washer/dryer. Digital audio recorders and remote temperature monitors were placed in the same locations as well. Teams and areas are assigned.

Baseline readings for the various rooms were as follows:

RoomEMF – in mGAmbient Temp
Kitchen.364 F
Living / Dinning Room.664 F
Master Bedroom.169 F
BD2.471 F
BD3.470 F
Lower Level Family Rm.260 F

Events
At approximately 6:02 pm one of our investigators had the distinct feeling of being touched on the lower back.  During the time she was touched there were equipment cases sitting on the bed directly behind the investigator.  While the investigator feels that she did not bump into anything there were objects behind her that could have caused the sensation and therefore must be ruled out.

One investigator noticed at the beginning of the investigation that her ring was not on her finger. A subsequent search did not turn up the missing ring until the end of the investigation when the ring was found in her jacket pocket.  Upon further review of this incident the investigator remembered taking the ring off prior to arriving at the home and video evidence confirms this.

A cold spot was noted on the stairs. At the same time as the cold spot, notable EMF’s were taken at the same spot. Upon further investigation it was determined that the cold spot was caused by the cold air intake drawing air from the living room to the top of the stairs.  At this time, the cause of the high EMF is undetermined.  However, the residence is in close proximity to a transmission tower and a higher than normal EMF reading was documented in the living room during the initial EMF/temp sweep.  This event is inconclusive.

A pad of paper and a pencil were left in the basement.  One investigator had written a question on the paper in an attempt to receive an answer. Later in the investigation, an investigator noticed that the pencil was no longer with the paper. A subsequent search found the pencil under the washer. Investigators noted a mark on the pad that had been made by the pencil.  Subsequent investigation of the video evidence indicates many people in the area where the pad and pencil were left.  This evidence must be discarded as it was contaminated by individuals entering the area.

Investigation Conclusion
Several of the incidents that occurred during this investigation were able to be explained as natural events.  However, there were a few that were not able to be explained. It is our opinion that many of the incidents that occur in the home have a natural explanation.   At this time the results of this investigation are inconclusive.
